Silk Screen Studios is a thoughtfully restored historic warehouse in Philadelphia, offering state-of-the-art workspaces and a growing community of ambitious tenants. Our workspaces are designed for professionals, entrepreneurs, and creatives. Located at 179 W. Berks St. in the heart of Fishtown/Olde Kensington, our workspaces provide a dynamic and convenient environment for turning ideas into reality.
Housed in the former Photo Process Screen Manufacturing building, Silk Screen Studios embraces the legacy of Fishtown’s industrial past. For decades, this warehouse was a hub for silk screen printing and manufacturing. Today, we’ve preserved its original architectural character, including exposed brick walls, heavy timber beams and expensive windows while transforming it into a modern workspace designed for today’s innovators.
We offer versatile workspaces ranging from 200 to 600 square feet, equipped with premium amenities to support your productivity and creativity:
Silk Screen Studios attracts a diverse community of professionals, from design and photography studios to estheticians, interior designers, remote executives, and therapists. We are proud to host a growing number of women-owned businesses in our space.
Tours for prospective tenants are led by Iva Kelman, our building manager – an artist, floral designer, and longtime Northern Liberties resident who also plays a key role in fostering our vibrant community.
“Transforming this historic brick and timber warehouse into Silk Screen Studios has been an exciting journey and we’ve worked hard to create a space where creativity can truly flourish. This space is designed to foster creativity and innovation, and we can’t wait to see what amazing projects our tenants bring to life here.”
